Job Summary
LFCU is looking for an enthusiastic, positive, friendly, and high-energy person to be a Full-Time Member Service Specialist I. A Member Service Specialist I at LFCU is responsible for making our members feel welcome while processing accurate and efficient transactions. This position typically works 40 hours Monday through Friday and two Saturdays per month. This is NOT a remote position.
Responsibilities and Duties
Greet and welcome Spanish and English members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member service.
Provide in-person and by-telephone/email general and specific service-related information concerning credit union services or policies. Respond to member requests, problems, or complaints or direct them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance.
Open new accounts and service existing accounts. Promote and cross-sell products and services based on member needs. Set up new account files and provide members with all necessary information for membership.
Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge on all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by a Member Service Specialist. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- The ability to fluently speak, read, and write in both Spanish and English.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 years of experience in a financial institution.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office required.
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Work in an in-office setting.
