Job Summary

LFCU is looking for an enthusiastic, positive, friendly, and high-energy person to be a Full-Time Head Teller at one of our Lebanon locations.  A Head Teller at LFCU is responsible for making our members feel welcome while processing accurate and efficient transactions.  This position typically works 40 hours Monday through Friday and every other Saturday.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Represents the Credit Union courteously and professionally. Maintains privacy of members account information. 
  • Supervise the activities of the teller operations area by assigning work, scheduling breaks, lunches and staffing for late hours, answering questions, solving problems, assisting with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems. 
  • Create workforce stability by cultivating an engaged, spirited, and well coached team.  
  • Follow credit union policies and procedures including properly verifying member identity and endorsements.
  • Responsible for managing and balancing cash drawer on a daily basis.  
  • Research and resolve cash drawer discrepancies.  
  • Uphold a high level of accuracy and maintain member security.
  • Ensures that proper controls are exercised over the vault, ordering, and counting money for the branch, buying and selling cash to tellers, and that the vault is settled each day.
  • Conducts monthly surprise audits for all teller drawers. Reviews all bail money monthly. Assists management with daily/weekly/audits of ATM, Vault Cash and Cash Dispensers. 

Qualifications and Skills

  • ​Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-1 years of experience in a financial institution.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office required.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use or learn a 10-key adding machine or keyboard.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills required for supervising the teller staff and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.
