Job Summary
Serve as a liaison between the member and Lebanon Federal Credit Union. Promote a sale and service culture by actively recommending all credit union products and effectively meeting the members’ needs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Must be well versed in all loan department products, procedures, and policies. Provide members with advice regarding their financial matters. Promote the credit union philosophy and objectives. Basic account knowledge is required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Loan Processor is expected to have an in-depth understanding of and is primarily responsible for assisting in the Consumer, Indirect, and Home Equity loan operations of the Loan Department.
Responsible for all aspects of helping process, close, fund, and service all loan types. Such duties include but are not limited to ordering reports (appraisals, lien searches, flood searches, title insurance), processing loan payments, setting up loans for automatic payments, researching and reconciling loans, calling for insurance verification, funding indirect loans, etc.…
Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient transactions and service.
Provide in-person and by-telephone/email general and specific service-related information concerning credit union products, services, or policies. Respond to member requests, problems or complaints or direct them to the appropriate person for specific information and assistance.
Take new loan applications and service existing loan accounts. Promote and cross-sell products and services based on member needs. Set up new loan files and provide members with all necessary information for their loan related requests.
Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services that are handled or promoted by a Loan Processor. Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
Promote, explain and cross-sell other credit union services such as electronic services (Access Digital/Bill Payer/e-Statements), iTALK (Audio), debit and credit cards, line of credit, consumer loan products, real estate loans, IRA’s, direct deposit, payroll deduction, money orders, safe deposit boxes, etc.
Adheres to all policies and procedures set forth by the Credit Union.
Assist Senior Loan Manager, Underwriters, Branch Manager, and Assistant Branch Manager with any duties assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
High School Diploma
Previous related experience in the lending or member service function of a credit union or other financial institution is preferred but not required.
High level of knowledge and procedural expertise of all credit union services and products is required.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows are required. Intermediate mathematical skills, proven written, and verbal communications are required.
Ability to cross-sell credit union products and services.
Ability to prioritize and manage multifunctional tasks.
