Job Summary

LFCU is looking for an enthusiastic, positive, friendly, and high-energy person to be a Full-Time Commercial Credit Analyst.  A Commercial Credit Analyst at LFCU is responsible for completing accurate, detailed financial analysis and credit memorandums as part of the business lending approval process. A Commerical Credit Analyst will also assist the department with other functions, including, but not limited to, closing due diligence, annual loan review, and loan documentation.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate new member business loan request.
  • Perform annual due diligence on existing business loan relationships.
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements, tax returns, personal financial statements, statement spreads, and other financial information to determine the feasibility of prospective borrowers and provide recommendations for further consideration of request.
  • Prepare detailed analysis of personal and business assets for collateral valuation and determine total loan to value calculations within policy guidelines. 
  • Maintain high level of communication with lending, operations and retail staff. 
  • Other projects as assigned. 
  • Adhere to all policy and procedures set forth by LFCU.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or general and business knowledge equivalent to bachelor's degree. 
  • 3-5 years of lending or related experience. Previous commercial underwriting experience a plus.
  • Experience in reading and analyzing financial statements. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multifunctional tasks to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Ability to work in an in-office setting.
